Guitar Neck

After removing the clamps and allowing the blank to cure for 5 days we joined the top face (where the fingerboard will be) and the end that will be the heel. The next step will be to cut the rough neck shape on the bandsaw.

Here's a closer view of the neck blank.  From the top the layers are burled Walnut, Cocobolo, Walnut, Cocobolo, and burled Walnut.

The rough cut of the profile of the neck has been cut on the bandsaw.  Additionally the channel for the truss rod has been routed and the heel has been drilled for the neck joint.
Here's a detail picture of the neck.  The tenon has been partially cut.  We are going to use the improved neck join that William Cumpiano explains on his site.
